SIS Book in A Day Competition

On Tuesday the 10th of August several schools participated in the SIS Book in a Day Competition via Teams.  Our team consisted of eight students ranging from Year 7 to 9.  We were given eight hours to write a 4000-6000 word story.  Six writers and two illustrators were allocated different prompts (characters plus words) to be included in the story.  The writers planned and edited as a team but drafted and wrote their own chapters.

Our story is a tale about a rich witch, consumed by sadness, betrayal and greed.  It teaches us not to be materialistic and to always put our loved ones first.

Thank you to Mr Bailey and Mr Yap for organising this event.  Well done and thank you to my team mates, Aliyah Cuevas, Royce D'Mello, Michaellah Ganiquem-Puspus, Emma Jorissen, Nathaniel Monforte, Tien Nguyen and Lynn Cho Man Yan.
