Careers in Trades

Orontide visited the College last week seeking interested students chasing a metals related Trade. They are keen for motivated students to come and complete a work placement on site, as they have vacancies in three Trade areas for 2022 - Boiler Maker, Machinist and Mechanical Fitter.

If you require any support with selecting prospective Trades careers or help organising relevant work placements, drop me an email or pop in to my office. We are happy to assist if we can.

Year 12 Concluding

The Trades staff are following up and giving every opportunity for ALL Year 12 students to complete as many qualifications as they can. Some changes will be made over the coming weeks to maximise student outcomes.

Personal Projects

Students are making some fantastic projects this year. A reminder that Year 12 students will be expected to finalise their accounts for their projects in the coming weeks. Thank you.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

It is a requirement for all students working in the workshops to wear PPE. Any student who presents to class without the expected safety equipment will be issued the required PPE and the cost will be placed on their account.

In and around Trades this week include…

Robert Pepall’s trailer is a PTO Power pack for emptying field bins into trucks.
Wade Wallace’s motorbike rebuild.
Olivia Morgan’s laminated Jarrah coffee table.
La Toyah Carson’s Marri dining table
