Church News

Lenten Bible Studies on the Gospel of Luke:  7-8:15pm on Wednesday 9, 23, 30 March and 6 April.

For most of this church year we will be following Luke's Gospel.   To help us to get the most from Luke, you are invited to join us for a series of four Bible studies on the Gospel of Luke conducted by Pastor Matt.  The four topics are 'Luke's main themes', 'Luke's People', 'Luke's distinctives' and 'Luke's importance to worship'.  There will be plenty of time for interaction and questions.  We will commence each study with a brief prayer service.  Bring your Bibles - print or device or borrow one of ours for the night. If you would like to rsvp or find out more call the church office on 82624690

Lent

Lent is a season of the church year when Christians give particular focus to prayer. As a household, you might like to pray for specific things each day of the week over Lent.

Here are some ideas:

Sunday – for Pastor Matthew and church workers, and for the ministry of St Paul Congregation. (Ask them if they have needs you could specifically pray for.)

Monday – for missions and missionaries.

Tuesday – for friends and neighbours, and for those who don’t know Christ.

Wednesday – for political leaders and world peace.

Thursday – for colleagues at work or school.

Friday – for your relatives.

Saturday – for personal needs or concerns.

You may want to print or write up your chosen schedule and post it where all household members can see.
