Bunnings BBQ - Sunday 27th February

A big thank you to everyone who gave up a bit of their Sunday to either volunteer or who came and said hi and bought a sausage. And an especially big thank you to Anne Hynds for organising this event and just running with it.

It was a really busy day for us and the great news is that we raised $1241. This will go into our big fundraising pot for improving our sporting facilities.

Special Lunch - Subway - Thursday 10th March

Orders have now closed for orders. We look forward to distributing these to everyone who has ordered next week.

Chocolate drive for the fete w/c 14th March

Just a reminder that we’re running a chocolate bar drive from Tuesday 15th March. These blocks are 100g minimum and there will be a prize for the class that collects the most blocks of chocolate during that week receives a movie afternoon with freshly made popcorn. Hurry to the shops as there are some great offers in the supermarkets this week!

Hot Cross Bun orders - Wednesday 6th April (distribution date)

Hot cross bun orders will be sent out in the next few weeks. These will be sent home to the oldest child from the family. Forms are due back before the end of March. Remember to ask friends and family if they would like to order too!

Volunteering

Thank you to everyone that has signed up for all the events - we still have some spaces for Friday icy poles. Please note that you will need your working with children’s check and proof of vaccination to be able to volunteer.

Volunteering is a great way to get involved with the school and meet some new people! Watch out for TERM 2 events being added soon.

2022 AGPS Fete - 4 weeks to go!

Wow we’re really sprinting to the finish line with this event - it’s just around the corner! Have you purchased showbags yet (so you don’t have to queue on the day) or wristbands? The wristbands are discounted when you pre-order, but are available to buy on the day as well as individual ride tickets.

Did you know that we have a fete facebook page - make sure you’re following to find out what’s happening on the day: https://www.facebook.com/altonagreenfete

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge some concerns regarding amusement rides at the fete. We are using an extremely reputable company, who we used last time, for the supply of our amusement rides. All rides come with operators who are constantly tracking weather conditions. All rides, including inflatables, are harnessed by at least 8 points into the Oval. No rides will be operating unless weather conditions are suitable (for those who were here in 2018, you will remember the heavy rain that lasted 4 hours, but the rides eventually opened)!

The order deadlines are:

Showbags - 9 am Wednesday 9th March

Wristbands - 9am Wednesday 23rd March

We cannot process any orders for either after this time.

Volunteering

Please have a look at the shifts on offer - lots available still and each shift is an hour and half long. In exchange for your time, you will be given a voucher for a drink and a sausage (or equivalent). This link is different to the general link as mentioned above. https://signup.com/go/GLBOqRH
