Writing at CHPS

This year at Clifton Hill PS we will be implementing the 6 + 1 Traits of writing across the school. The 6+1 Trait Model is an approach to teaching and assessing writing. It is a common language that teachers and students can use to talk about what good writing looks like.

Using the traits gives us a shared understanding and a common language when we talk about writing. The traits help us to view writing holistically, and to break down what makes quality writing.

So what are the 6+1 Traits?
