Principal's Report

Thank you to everyone who participated in this week's Parent / Teacher interviews. If you were unable to meet with your child's teacher on this occasion, please contact the school to make an alternate time.  

Thank you to those parents who have nominated for School Council.  As we still have one parent vacancy to fill, nominations for the 2022 School Council have been extended.  I urge all parents to please consider their availability to nominate to council.  Nominations must be finalised by next Tuesday, 8th March and our new council will be announced after this time.

Nomination for School Council can be made by completing and submitting this form. 

Expressions of interest from individuals who would be suitably qualified/experienced in undertaking general maintenance works on a casual basis.  For more information, please contact the office on 57544354.

Last week, a number of our student's braved the cold to compete in the annual Inter-Schools' Mountain Bike event at Falls Creek.  This proved to be a very exciting event which saw the team take out the title of Primary Inter-School Team Champions, while several of our students also took out individual places on the podium.  Our congratulations to Hamish who placed first, Sunni, Annabelle and Tom who each placed 3rd in their age-groups and to all students on their participation.  A big thank you also to the organisers and to Nicole and families for their assistance and support on the day.  

On Wednesday, the Regional Swimming Carnival was held in Shepparton. Once again, we had a high level of representation from our students.  Congratulations to Tom D, Mac, Zoe Bianca, Finn and Tom G on their participation and achievement on the day.

A reminder that Rapid Antigen Test kits can be collected from the office in the morning, from 8.45am and 9.15am  or in the afternoon from 2.45 - 3.15pm.

Families are also asked to also please remember to input student absences via the Compass portal.  If your child has any unexplained absences, please update these as soon as possible.

School photos will be held this year on Thursday 31st March.  Families will be sent information by email, from MSP Photography, advising when orders can be placed through the Parent Portal on Compass.  All family/sibling photos are to be ordered through the portal as well.  Please ensure, if you are purchasing family photos, to have this done before photo day as only families that have been paid in advance will have a family photo taken.  If you are having difficulties in placing your order, please ring the MSP office on (03) 5482 3190.

The Mount Beauty Swim Club is holding 'Come and Try' sessions for students and their families, who may be interested in joining the swim club.  This club is well supported by our families and swimmers of all abilities are encouraged to attend.
