GETTING HELP WITH YEAR 7 ICT

Just a reminder to all students, and in particular Year 7, that help is on hand in A04 every lunchtime. There is a Year 7 IT teacher on duty each day as follows:

Monday - Mrs Munro

Tuesday - Ms Fleming

Wednesday - Ms Hatch

Thursday - Mr Chan

Friday - Mr Munro

Coming to A04 at lunchtime is not just for Year 7. Students who would like to work quietly on any of their subjects are always welcome. Desktop computers are available for those requiring software not available on their Chromebooks.

MAKING ALGORITHMS FUN

Mr Munro's Year 9 Coding class started off the term studying algorithms. This involved planning the logical steps for a range of daily activities. The group were exploring the concepts of making decisions and looping within their algorithms.

For assessment, the students had to plan the sequence and the detailed steps for making a jam sandwich. On completion of this task, the students were given the opportunity to put the theory into practice by following their own algorithms to put together a real sandwich. Here are a few pictures of the students having some fun. Perhaps next year we will need to run some classes along with the Food Tech Department!
