Victorian State Schools Spectacular 2020!
Glen Eira College is participating yet again in the Victorian State School Spectacular (VSSS) this year! VSSS is a massive performance in collaboration with lots of state schools in Victoria. Everyone comes together to create something ‘spectacular’. Here is the list of our Mass Choir members for 2020:
Daisy Merrifield 7D
Amy Weintrob 7D
Nina Gibbs 8B
Amelia Sujana 8B
Raphael Lazarus 9A
Orleanna Murray de Brossard 9B
Rudi Hudson 9C
Evelyn Krelle 9C
Erin McNaughton 9E
Susi Staples 9E
Kitana Zheng 11B
The event airs on television in December. Before this, we will be rehearsing our choir pieces at school and joining in the multiple mass choir rehearsals at Melbourne Town Hall. These rehearsals go for the entire day, but with the engaging teachers leading the way, time really flies while we’re having fun! We also have two full days of rehearsals at Melbourne Arena with the 80 piece student orchestra, mass dance as well as the principal and featured cast.
We’re all very excited to be participating in this huge event, and we hope that everyone will tune in to watch it. Or, pick up a ticket and come and see us perform live at one of the two performances on Saturday September 12th 2020!
