Concert DVDs

The DVDs from our concert in 2016 have arrived. Those who placed orders were sent an email last week to come and collect their DVD from the office.

If you did not place an order but would like a DVD, you can purchase them at the office for $10 each.

Library Books

It's time to search high and low at home to make sure all books from the Galilee library are returned by the end of the year. On Monday 11, Mr Martello and Tegan will be doing a stock take. Letters will be sent home to those with overdue books.

School Dates

The dates page in the newsletter and this bulletin have been updated to include important Term 1 dates. Check these dates regularly and the live parent calendar (link also on dates page) for changes and to keep informed about all Galilee events.

Lost Uniform

Lots of students are missing hats with names on them. Please check the hat your child has and if it's not their's, return to the school. There are still many jumpers/jackets in lost property waiting to be collected by their owners. Uncollected uniform not named will be given to Second Hand Uniform in the last week of school.

Carols Picnic

Last night was the annual Christmas Carols Picnic and what a wonderful evening it was.  Over 100 families were in attendance enjoying a Christmas drink with friends and a meal together.  As with any event we hold for our school community it wouldn’t happen without the support of the many parent volunteers who worked behind the scenes to prepare for the evening, for the volunteers who set up, served and packed up at the end of the evening.  So I extend a huge thank you to these many parents and the Events Committee.

Finally, a big thank you to Anita, her voice students, Tim (keyboard) and Clementine (violin).  The evening would not have been possible without the hard work, courage and performances of each of the students who took to the stage to perform.  Thank you Anita for your dedicated work with each of the voice students in preparation for the evening, your many, many hours of work preparing for the evening and for a great night had by all who attended.

GaliGlee

The choir will perform for the whole school at morning assembly on Wednesday 13th December. All choiristers please wear your t-shirts with sports pants/shorts/skirts.

The competition that was cancelled last Friday due to weather has been rescheduled to March 2018 (date TBC).

My Shark Phone Holder

By Alex C, 4G

This phone holder is a shark that has been 3D printed by my home 3D printer. I got this idea from a book from Book Club called 3D Printing Objects. I changed a few things from it like the charger on it. It was designed to hold nearly any phone and charge it from the bottom of the shark. This shark printed out orange but was spray painted for the grey and blue and I painted the teeth white for it to stand out.

Congratulations Sophia

Today the staff held a baby shower for Sophia. It's always delightful for the staff to celebrate happy news.
