Dance 

DANCE has been flat out as all classes have been coming into the studio eagerly to work on their Christmas carol songs and routines to be performed at the end of the year. Students have also been a little creative with great ideas and suggestions to add to their classes dance routines. This will be Saltwater's first live carols performance since we have all come out of lockdown, and only our second ever Christmas show in our school's history. With the school and community growing ever so fast, this year will be a huge show with students excited to sing and dance their hearts out for everyone.                                                                                                    YEAR 7.                                                                    The Year 7 secondary students have been working s hard lately showcasing the great potential they have not only as individuals, but as a team also. The connection and teamwork demonstrated over the last few weeks has been impressive to say the least as students apply themselves at the tasks set out. Though dance is not something many thought they would be doing or participating in, they have committed and applied themselves consistently on a weekly basis.                                                                                                                                                 Students have realised that there is more to the program than just the steps they are learning and performing, and are investing themselves more so as they make the various connections to elements they can relate to. The students have pushed boundaries in team building exercises as they create great ideas with dance combinations and variations to add on to the tasks already set out. This has raised so many other important life building skills for the class, as they work together to communicate, problem solve, and achieve their goals together. It's been amazing to see them all work so hard and so so well!                                                                                                                                                            VICTORIAN STATE SCHOOL SPECTACULAR.  Congratulations again to our amazing students who represented our school and community at this years VSSS22. They were the first ever to have represented Saltwater College on such a massive platform and stage, and did so with a great professional attitude, work ethic, and mindset, and did everyone so proud.                       Victorian State School Spectacular 2023 registrations have almost closed and Saltwater College has applied once again to hopefully represent our community next year on the big stage. We will find out soon and news will be updated as we know more.                                                                                                                                      YEAR 6 GRADUATION.                                              Students rehearsals are now in full swing for this years end of year graduation. The Year Six students perform at their big night of the year, and consistently lift the level making it harder for the following to come. however this year is no exception and the students have demonstrated hunger, passion, and desire to raise the bar once again.                                             The energy in rehearsals has been energetic and full of enthusiasm as students work on their routines and final performance for their Primary Years journey. This will be a show not to be missed, and one to hit the heart strings and special moments for sure!
