A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

The Wizard of Oz

I was successful in receiving a grant to cover many of the costs associated with our whole school play ‘The Wizard of Oz’ which will be held on Thursday 1st September in the Royal Theatre at 6.30pm. Please note this in your calendar and tell your family and friends to save the date! A huge vote of thanks to the Catholic Schools Office for supporting this production. The grant will cover the cost of amazing costumes for all students, the venue hire, professional photos and videography. Every student from Kinder to Year 6 will be involved. The primary students who have speaking parts have started rehearsals and all classes will begin to learn their dances this term. 

School Advisory meeting and PT & F meeting

Last week we held two successful meetings; thank you to the parents and staff for your attendance. 

At the School Advisory Meeting Jason Allan shared his experiences of being a member of the Council of Catholic School Parents. I would like to thank Jason for accepting this important role as his involvement helps our whole school community. 

The PT & F committee has been hard at work organising fundraisers for our school.  I encourage you to support the raffle (with a great range of prizes) which will lessen the cost of the Canberra excursion for our Years 5 & 6 students.  Thanks to Rachel Coward for coordinating this raffle. 

Don’t forget your pies will be ready for collection this Wednesday before and after school. Many thanks to Michelle Cortis for managing this successful fundraiser.
