KIDS HELPLINE

Teaching our students to be responsible digital citizens is more important than ever before after the last few years. Our Year 3-6 students participated in online sessions with the Kids Helpline to learn more about cyberbullying. Our students learnt to:

  • Understand what cyberbullying is (and isn’t)
  • Know what to do if you are being cyberbullied
  • Practice strategies to respond to cyberbullying
  • Learn where to get help and report cyberbullying
  • Understand why kids sometimes cyberbully

You can find more information about the sessions here: https://kidshelpline.com.au/schools/sessions/

STUDENT LED CONFERENCES

Thank you to all our parents for attending our Student Led Conferences. A student-led conference is a meeting with a student, their family and teachers. During this meeting the student shares their pieces of work that they are proud of, discusses progress with family members and finally students share their goals for their future learning. The student facilitates the meeting from start to finish. It was fantastic to see our students confidently sharing their learning with their families.

START OF TERM CURRICULUM DAY

We had a curriculum day for the first day of this Term. During this time our staff engaged in rich professional learning about giving and receiving feedback and how to develop rich, engaging, mathematics learning experiences for our students.
