Principal's Notes

Dear Parents and Families,

Welcome back to Term Three and I hope everyone had a good break and a chance to spend some time with your loved ones. All our students came back with smiles on their faces and lots of updates about their adventures over the break.

Assembly Changes

We will be having some minor changes to our assembly timetable for Term 3. On Monday morning we will still have our formal assembly with the National Anthem, School Pledge, Acknowledgment of Country and Sports Reports led by our school Captains - Talia and Lexi.  On Friday afternoon at 3.10pm, we are having a Weekly Wrap-Up with student awards and an opportunity to celebrate student learning from the classroom.  All families are welcome as always.

Well-Being

Our learning behaviors for this term are:  Be Positive, Be Problem Solvers, Challenge Myself and Work Together. We will be focusing on these throughout the term and through our daily Well-Being lessons in classes.  This will be supported by our new Well-Being Journals.

Mietta, Jaxson and Sam with their new Wellbeing Journals.

Parents Club Fundraising

Many thanks to all families who were either helping on the day or prepared and donated food for the recent catering events. The Parents Club catered for a golf event at the Mooralla Golf Cub over the holidays and this week a private function. An amazing effort and we thank you all very much.

School Council

Next Wednesday 20th July, we will be having a School Council meeting at 7pm at school. The Finance Sub-Committee will be meeting at 6.45pm for their regular meeting before we commence the normal meeting.

Bridge Cafe lunch orders

The Bridge Cafe will be offering an extra item to the menu this Term, a mini chicken tender wrap (fresh wrap with a warm original chicken tender, lettuce, and cheese, plus either mayo or sweet chilli sauce) as requested by Mae.  All the normal menu items remain the same, and they are happy to continue taking orders up until 11am on Fridays.  Thank you to Justin Coates for his steak sandwich suggestion last Term, it was enjoyed by quite a few children!  Shane and Susan have also commented that it is lovely to see some of the school families dropping by after school with the longer opening hours through the week.

School Photos

School Photos are on Tuesday 19th July.  If families are wanting photos, please return the completed envelope by this day.  Students will need to wear their full winter uniform, same as they wore for the Eisteddfod.  (School rugby jumpers, winter skirts or gaberdine pants, navy socks or tights, black shoes, white polo).

Mask wearing on school bus

A reminder to all students that masks are still required to be worn on the school buses.

Play time

The students have been enjoying the sunshine this week with lots of great games. Lexi and Holly have also become super coaches with offering a netball training sessions for the F/1 class on Thursday.

Have a lovely weekend,

Lisa Ferrier
