VCAL/VCE Changes

2023 will see the new VCE Vocational Specialisation introduced throughout Victorian Secondary schools. Foundation, Intermediate and Senior VCAL classes will no longer exist as students will follow a structured pathway, flowing from Units 1 through to 4, that will replace Intermediate and Senior classes. Current VCAL students will gain credits for Units completed in 2022

Replacing Foundation classes, will be Units 1 and 2 of the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC), which may be offered in select circumstances. As with VCE there will be Units and eligibility rules with outcomes, key knowledge and  key skills, included in all units. Students studying Year 11 will complete VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) Units 1 and 2, while those in Year 12 will complete VCE VM Units 3 and 4.
