GRADE 3-6 HOUSE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Next Tuesday the children from Grades Three to Six will be participating in the House Athletics Carnival at Bill Sewart Athletics track in Burwood East. They will competing in a range of track and field events for the annual Shield which will be presented at a later date once all points have been tallied.

They are encouraged to wear their house colours and do their best to participate in most events. Thanks to those parents who have volunteered to help on the day. Those children who perform well in events will then be invited to represent the school at the District Athletics Carnival on Thursday 1st September.

It is great to be able to actually compete again after the last few years were canceled. During PE classes the children will complete Discus and Triple Jump and points will also be awarded to go towards the Athletics Shield.

Congratulations to Fraser G who received an emergency spot in the State Cross Country Championships at Yarra Glen last week and finished a creditable 45th out of 90 children from all over the state.
