On Wednesday, a number of Year 3 parents braved the cold and rain to attend an informative Faith Night about the Sacraments their children will be embarking on over the next few years of primary school.
The night started off with a fun and challenging 'Catholic Trivia Quiz', before Father Andrew delved into the significance of the sacraments, particularly those of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.
Sacraments are a visible sign of God's Grace. given to us by Jesus Christ, that point to an internal change or conversion. Sacraments and faith are linked together in that sacraments pre-suppose, nourish, fortify and express faith. They build up the body of Christ, the Church, which is infact- the people!
Sacraments are a true gift from Jesus and therefore, when we receive them, we are sincerely grateful and hopefully changed.
Parents are the first. and foremost educators of faith for their children and we at St Louis' hope to support and foster this faith as the students embark upon their faith journey.
