Year 7 - full steam ahead!

Term 2 has been very busy for the Year 7 cohort who have had the opportunity to participate in various extracurricular activities.

We started with the Athletics Carnival which had a high number of Year 7 students participating and competing for their house. Congratulations to Bradman!

Students then had the opportunity to be involved in Ancient Day where they embraced the opportunity to explore different civilizations and engaging presentations.

In our challenge classes this term all Year 7 classes have been working on a Community Mural in the B wing space. The task for each student was to produce a piece of work that represented the word Community. All teaching staff at Mullauna then had the opportunity to vote on the class they thought had the best mural.   Congratulations to 7B for winning the teacher vote!

Our Year Level Assembly was a highlight of the term where we took the time to acknowledge and celebrate the students who have consistently gone ‘above and beyond’ in demonstrating our school values of courage, curiosity, and community. These students were awarded the "Above and Beyond Award" for their respective classes:

7A:

Dotti Pavlou

April Stacey

7B:

Keeley Jordan

Tristan Lau

7C

Axl Cooper

Eleni Smyrnios

7D:

Max Murphy

Nathan Baker

We commend these students for their outstanding character and their commitment to making a positive difference within our school community.

The Year 7 students have this week also had the opportunity to thank the Year 10 Peer Support Leaders for their support throughout Semester 1.  They did this with some activities at lunchtime and group games during Year 7 Challenge.

We are looking forward to another busy time ahead in Semester 2!
