Dear Families,

Our congratulations to our Year 6 students who thoroughly enjoyed their Camp experience at Phillip Island Adventure Resort last week. They represented themselves and our school so well. They were so blessed to have such good weather given that we are in the heart of July. Our sincere thanks to the staff who attended and supervised, giving generously of their expertise and time.

Welcome to Felicity... Work Experience Student

Great to see another of our past students Felicity return this week as part of the Secondary Work Experience Program at SJV!

Felicity has been a wonderful assistance in PE / Sport!

Year 4 Camp Parent Meeting

A reminder to our Year 4 parents that there will be a camp meeting this Friday 21st July at 2:30pm in the Performing Arts Area. It will be important to attend to hear about the Year 4 Camp at Sovereign Hill. The Camp will take place from Wednesday August 2nd - Friday August 4th.

Closure Day

A reminder that the school will be closed for students NEXT MONDAY 24th JULY. Staff will be participating in Professional Learning around the Science of Reading. Thank you for your support. OHSC (Camp Australia) will NOT operate as there has not been the required expression of interest.

RSL Award

At Assembly on Monday, our school received a special Award from the Waverley RSL for our fundraising efforts for ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day. Geoff from the Waverley branch spoke to the students about the importance of supporting the RSL and Legacy. He pointed out the outstanding response this school has shown over several years. It is terrific our students and families are making a difference!

Class Masses 1-2 DS

This Friday at 9am you are all invited to our school Mass which will be led by 1-2 DS!

A terrific way to begin our term and to ask blessings upon our school and families.

1-2DS Parents are asked to bring a plate for our Morning Tea straight after the Mass. Please include the ingredients if home made or include packaging if not.

No nuts including cooking oil , or fresh cream.

Foundation 100 Days Celebration

We look forward to celebrating with our Foundation Students their first 100 Days of school! Wednesday 26th July

Parents are invited to attend at 2:15pm for a Liturgy outside the Foundation classrooms.

The school gates are opened at 8:30am. No student supervision before this time. Camp Australia offers before school care form 6:30am

The school is not responsible for knowing who is collecting your child after school. There are too many students leaving the school grounds from 3:15pm. Please ensure your child knows who is picking them up. Students not picked up will be taken to the front office.

Winter uniform should be worn. Sports uniform on Sports Days/ Performing Arts Specialist Days.
