Dear Parents and Carers
It has been wonderful to see so many parents at the school this week for parent/teacher conferences with many affirmations, and goals identified for the remainder of the year.
Positive parent and teacher communication is a part of successful learning. Teachers and parents provide a vital support system to help students flourish. Both groups are important. When parents and teachers communicate and work together effectively, it can significantly influence each student’s long-term success.
I am grateful for our teachers and school support officers who work tirelessly to meet the needs of our students and support them to achieve their full potential in all areas of their learning. In much the same way, I am incredibly proud of our students who consistently strive to improve and be the best versions of themselves.

Riding Bikes to School Safely and Morning Park
I have been informed that an increasing number of students are arriving early and gathering at the bike track at Bulli Park. While I appreciate the enthusiasm for outdoor play, I would like to emphasise that there are safety concerns associated with unsupervised play in the park before the designated school hours.
For the safety and well-being of all students, I kindly request that you ensure your child arrives at school during the designated arrival time. Supervision and safety measures are in place within the school grounds to provide a safe environment for students.
I understand and support the desire for social interaction and physical activity, and I encourage you to explore alternative options that can provide a supervised and safe environment for your child's enjoyment before school.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for reinforcing the importance of safety with your child. By working together, we can ensure the well-being of our students and maintain a safe school environment.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I greatly appreciate your cooperation and ongoing support.

NEWS FEED, MONDAY 19 JUNE
REGARDING PARKING and ROAD SAFETY
The school has received a community complaint in relation to illegal parking and unsafe road and pedestrian behaviours. We have been notified that patrols will be made by police and RTA this week to ensure our school community is complying with these expectations.
Arrival and dismissal are a high-demand times for parking around the school. I appreciate the effort most parents make to respect others and the road rules at this time.
Please ensure that you are…
- Not stopping or parking in the park across from the church
- Not stopping or parking on the road outside the church
- Not stopping in the bus zone
- Not doing U-turns in dangerous places
- Not parking in neighbours driveways
- Not driving into the driveway near the basketball court/ church
- Not crossing the road in the bus zones
- Not driving through the church undercover paved area
- Not parking in the Anglican Church car park on Park Road
- Being patient
Everyone’s cooperation is needed.
Some parents and carers are asked to take greater personal responsibility when parking around the school and to be mindful of the traffic laws. Of particular concern are those who are parking in NO PARKING or NO STOPPING areas, too close to corners, and those who are making U-turns in very dangerous locations such as at the bottom of Rowan Street. These are ongoing problems for the school, the safety of children, and for our neighbours.
Do you cross the road in the bus zone area?
Some parents have also been observed crossing the road in the bus zone area and particularly when buses are stopped there. This is a very dangerous practice and you are asked to walk the extra few steps and use the school crossing zone.
We are a community that cares about everyone’s safety. Please join us all in caring.

When five Blue Merit Awards have been received, students send them to the school office to be recorded and are then eligible for a Principal’s Award. When students attain their 4th Principal Award, they are awarded a Principal’s Medallion at an assembly. End of Term awards can be included as part of the 5 awards.
