Principal's Report

Dear families,

With only a nine-week term, the time has flown, and it is hard to believe we are now halfway through the school year. You will receive your child’s mid-year reports tomorrow. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading them all and seeing the progress students have made this semester. Thank you to the staff who have put so much effort into writing detailed and descriptive reports.

FAREWELL

Sadly, we farewell three of our staff members this week. Firstly Jenny Davey, who has been our Business manager at Toolamba for approximately 20 years. After a period of Long Service Leave Jenny retired on June 2nd. Her contribution to the school community has been invaluable her tireless work after the fire working on the rebuild. Both Craig and Jayne will leave a huge gap in our teaching staff. Their wealth of expertise and their dedication to their profession has been commendable. Our very best wishes go with them on the next stage of their careers.

Our very best wishes go with Beau and Max I’m sure they will love being closer to their extended family.

WELCOME

We are all very excited to have three new staff members joining us next Term. Dani Watt will be in 1 / 2 S, Mason Argus will be in 1 / 2 T and Stacey Wilkinson will be sharing the 3 / 4 class with Mrs Bathman. We are indeed very fortunate to have such impressive people join our team at Toolamba. All three staff members have been visiting our school over the past few weeks to ensure that the transition for them and the students is as smooth as possible.

REVIEW

Tuesday was the final day for our school review. The panel asked me to pass on their  congratulations to the staff at Toolamba PS  on the  fantastic job they are doing educating the students at Toolamba. They were very impressed with our school and our data. Stephen Daly (Reviewer) made the comment that it is the best school he has ever reviewed and that it was challenging to find areas for improvement. Tuesday was spent on formulating our new Strategic Plan. Stephen will now go away and write up the final report which we will then be able to share with the school community. Well done everyone!
