Cultural Exchange
Shepparton High School are lucky enough to be hosting two exchange students this year.
Taichi Matsuo from Japan is visiting with the Southern Cross Exchange Program and will be in Shepparton for ten months.
Baptiste Subtil visited from France for three months during his summer holidays and returned home last weekend. They recently visited Bourchier St Primary School to speak about their home countries.
Trip to Bourchier St Primary School
We visited Bourchier St Primary School to introduce our countries a couple of weeks ago. It was Olympics Week.
Each classroom has a different country and competes against each other. We went to the prep classes who had learned about Japan and France, and talked to them about our countries with pictures.
It was a very precious experience for us. They were so respectful and looked interested in our story. They were surprised at the differences between
Australia and our countries. For example, the population of Tokyo, French food and that we sometimes have snow in the winter!
Thanks to them, we really enjoyed our visit. We learned a lot of things on this trip.
Thanks for giving us such a great opportunity.
