On Friday 20 July, students attended the VCE Awards Ceremony. A large number of Year 11 and 12 students were awarded for their outstanding attendance, their community engagement, and their Excellence and Endeavour achievements in their subjects.
It was wonderful to see so many students receiving awards for their efforts from Semester 1. Congratulations and keep up the hard work this semester!
The 2019 Year 11 into 12 Course Selection OPENS up to students on Monday 30 July, following the Senior School Information evening.
It is important that Year 11 students begin considering and selecting the subjects that they would like to study in Year 12 in 2019 as the course selection CLOSES to students on Friday 10 August.
On Monday 30 July, the Middle School and Senior School Information Evening is being held.
The Senior School session begins at 7:15 pm for current Year 10 and Year 11 students, following on from the Middle School session at 6.30 pm.
This session will cover the VCE Course Selection process and will also provide students and parents with an opportunity to learn about the VCE subjects that students’ are considering for 2019.
A reminder that if your child misses a School Assessed Coursework (SAC) they must get a medical certificate to enable them to sit the SAC in the next available IPT time slot.
Students will not be granted SAC redemption unless they have a medical certificate or it is a school-approved absence.
If there are extenuating circumstances please let us know and we will make a decision based on the VCAA guidelines.
Once a student has been approved for SAC redemption, they will be required to sit the SAC the next available time slot.
At our recent awards ceremony, a number of Year 11 and 12 students received their badges for their points from Semester 1, 2018.
The points aggregate system allows for you to be recognised and rewarded for your commitment to your learning and to the broader school community. Points continue to accrue over the two years of your VCE.
Please continue to update your Home Group teachers throughout Semester 2 with any new points that you accrue.
Any absences from school must be parent/guardian approved. You can do this through a signed note or you can approve your child’s absences via the Parent Approval Button on Compass.
You can also use Compass to view your student’s past absences.
