We Will Rock You

Congratulations to all of our 2018 bright, bright stars! 

From the reveal of our 2018 School Production back in November 2017, to our amazing show run now in August, it has been an incredibly rewarding teaching experience for us both.  Seeing students grow from strength to strength, starting with the talent and maturity shown during auditions held in February, we were amazed at the level of professionalism and enthusiasm the cast brought to each and every rehearsal.

Our production team, including an entire section of the show produced by our students (choreography), has been our privilege to guide and oversee.

Thank you to teaching staff member, Andrew Rogers for coming on board to assist us and our choreography students Emily Artis, Tiffany Couacaud and Jessica Clark for their incredible teamwork. 

With each month, we saw new and further challenging experiences allowing our students to step into roles such as captain, set-design, prop creation, band, lighting, stage crew and stage management.

Over the last six months, we have witnessed teamwork, problem solving, enthusiasm, resilience and commitment from all involved. For this, we are immensely grateful.

The friendships that have emerged throughout the rehearsal period are a testament to the wonderful experience it is to be a part of the school production. We kindly thank all of the Lilydale High School alumni and teaching staff who have volunteered their time backstage, in the band and in technical roles to allow our students to enjoy their production experience this year.

Thank you specially to teaching staff, Andrew Rogers, Jacki Goode, Narelle McGrotty, Jamie Lyons, Phil Carr and Dawn O’Kennedy (Library) for their continuous support and rock star skill-sets over the past months.

We also thank our past Lilydale High School Production students for their time and services returning to help with our 2018 School Production in many ways.

To the true 'Champions' our wonderful We Will Rock You production cast, band, tech crew, hair/makeup and backstage students, thank you for joining us this year.  We were so proud to hand over this wonderful show to you, our students.  Please join us again next year!   Thank you for every rehearsal, google drive, youtube live rehearsal, Taj and Caspian moment, Tai Chi warm up, Bruno Mars dance, motivational speech, eyes only group shot, sound check, lighting wire, microphone drop, running set piece, painting prop, costume sticky, concussion, nap time in the band.  

Continue to enjoy your moments on and off the stage.  We always knew, you would ROCK THEM!
