Faith and Mission

Tim Swan - Director of Faith and Mission

I am delighted to introduce our new Youth Minister, Jessica Edwards.  Jess with be working with students from every year level, on camps, retreats and reflection days, and she will be leading the community in liturgy and prayer.  I asked her to introduce herself:

A very good day to the amazing St. John’s Regional College community!  I hope you have all enjoyed a wonderful holiday season and are feeling refreshed and ready to take on another amazing school year.

I’m Jess Edwards, and I’m proud to be your 2022 Lasallian Youth Minister!  A fun fact about me is that I graduated here in 2021 and loved the college way too much to part ways just yet, so here I am! I’m beyond excited to be back!

Something I’m very passionate about is animal welfare and I aspire to be a veterinarian in the future.  I absolutely adore all animals, and nothing makes me happier than being around them. I’m also passionate about social justice and look forward to creating change together as we work towards a brighter future for all!  In my spare time I enjoy going camping with friends and family, fishing, 4WD, kayaking and almost everything outdoors!  I love being out in nature and thoroughly enjoy the short escape from our day-to-day lives which it provides.

I’d love to meet each one of you so If you see me around the college, please don’t hesitate to come up and have a chat!  Hope to see you around.

Wishing nothing but the best for all of you, have a blessed day!

Jess Edwards - Lasallian Youth Minister

Jess started an initiative on Thursday lunchtime - Lunchtime Games.  It was a high-energy event that got students moving, dancing and laughing.  This will continue every Thursday lunchtime in SPAC - all welcome - prizes to be won!
