CANTEEN NEWS
VOLUNTEERS PLEASE!
The MPS canteen operates Tuesday to Friday for lunch orders and is also open at recess and lunchtimes for students to buy icypoles and snacks.
The canteen is currently looking for assistance in serving students at lunchtimes (especially on a hot day), and on Fridays assistance is required for preparing lunch orders. Any help no matter how small would be greatly appreciated.
For those of you who have not volunteered before, please note the following:
All volunteers need a Working with Children Check card. These are free for volunteer status and are valid for five years.
Please make sure that the office has a copy of your WWCC and that you have signed a Child Safe Code of Conduct form (also at the office). WWCC can be applied for online and are processed at the Post Office.

BOOK CLUB NEWS
Book Club catalogues were handed out last week! Keep an eye out for great value for many books starting at just $2.00.
Issue #1 ordering online will close by FRIDAY 18 FEBRUARY 2022
Parents order and make payments online using the LOOP System (Linked Online Ordering & Payment). Parents using this system streamlines our processing, and books can be distributed faster.
So this year all orders are to be made online. If you have any questions about this please talk to Amanda in the Library.
Scholastic Book Club is very important to our library, providing us with thousands of dollars in reward money to spend on books for our collection.
As our orders are being ordered online, parents will be happy to know about two new changes to LOOP (Linked Online Ordering & Payment).
At the 'Order Review' step, LOOP customers will now be advised how much they have saved (price versus RRP) and how many rewards their order has earned the school.
A hover message appears to explain how savings are calculated. It is always nice to know how much you have saved and lovely to know how you have helped out the school with reward points!
Another change is having an option to have GIFT items shipped to home for a small handling charge, even if the school order has not been placed or is still open. So if you are planning for birthdays and Christmas, this could be a great option.
On behalf of our school, we would like to thank students and families for supporting our Scholastic Book Club that the school provides throughout the year.
