Foundation Fun

We have started our PMP sessions and also our Developmental Learning sessions where we get to practise waiting our turn, sharing, listening, working with others. We have been working hard on our fine and gross motor skills to get ready for reading and writing.

Our beautiful Crossing Supervisor Cheryl came in to the Foundation classrooms to teach us all about crossing the road safely. We went out to the crossing and practised crossing the road safely with Cheryl. We learnt to always cross the road with a grown up, wait behind the line, look left and right, and to wait until the whistle is blown before we cross the road. Thank  you so much Cheryl for teaching us all about your job, your uniform and equipment and how to cross the road safely!

Nate and Colbie have been busy learning their numbers! 

Thank you to Miss Gruer for taking our class for the first three weeks of school. Kyson presented the first show and tell of the year whilst she was here. We miss you Miss Gruer and look forward to seeing you next term. Good luck at University!

District Swimming Trials

On Thursday the 24th the Murdoch district swimming trials were held at the pines swimming pool. Representing Somerville Primary, we had Chloe Jones who swam in the Breastroke and Kai B who swam in the Freestyle. Kai has qualified to go to the next level which is Division trials. Well done to Chloe and Kai.
