FOOTY DAY

We had a lot of fun with our footy activities. I was extremely impressed that everyone gave it a go and didn't give up with the music/footy based activities. Well done students, such a great attitude to have, that will help you when you grow up into an adult. In the grades 3-6, if they didn't have a ball, they were happy to clap along to the rhythm. Another great display of resilience and flexibility.

In the Prep, One's and Two's WebEx, we had a great time playing our home made instruments to the AFL footy theme songs. We had a listen to the Storm theme song too. I was a little disappointed, that it wasn't the Cowboys theme song. I did discover that there is a LOT of Richmond supporters in the grade Prep, Ones and Twos. Oh dear! Miss O'Sullivan, Mr Laurie and Mr Barnes will be very happy.

Well done Essendon supporters. A Prep student shared on WebEx, that she had 1/2 vegemite, 1/2 jam on her toast for breakfast that morning! Now THAT'S a committed Essendon supporter. If Essendon is in the Grand Final next year, I'm going to have that on my toast too!

Next year Essendon supporters.....Next year!

5/6 Production

We are yet to find out, along with everyone else, what is going on with restrictions. I met with the production students yesterday (Thursday) to discuss our plan C. See below for details, under the heading 'Holiday Project'.

Holiday Project

Plan C - should we still be in lockdown in term 4 (I don't know anymore than you do). I will need the students to do the following:

Step 1 - dress in their character's costume as best they can. Please don't go to any expense. I will put photos of costume ideas on the Production Oh What a Knight google classroom page.

Step 2 - record themselves, saying their lines and actions (it does help if someone else says the other characters lines otherwise they can pause between the lines). If they could please do this against a wall in your house. Strictly no bedrooms please. Any device should work.

Step 3 - upload it to the Holiday Project assignment on the Production - Oh What a Knight google classroom page. Your child should be able to help you or feel free to email me if you get stuck and I can ring you and talk you through it.

Step 3 - that's my job. I will edit the videos together to make a 'movie' of the production.

I will need heaps of time to edit the videos together, so the sooner they can get this done, the better please. I'm sorry if this puts pressure on you but they have worked so hard online, that I would be very disappointed for them, if they couldn't show their skills, talents and sense of humor. If you want to wait for Daniel Andrew's announcement first before recording, that is completely understandable. If we are back at school next term it will be recorded on site. Fingers crossed this happens but I'm not holding my breath.

Thank you for your amazing support, once again for your child/children.
