School Council President

We've reached the end of another term and I think it's fair to say that it wasn't what we were hoping for or expecting when we started back at school in July. Our school community has displayed a tremendous amount of resilience and I'd like to thank the children, families and school staff who have worked so hard during this latest period of remote learning.

Let's hope that Sunday's promised COVID roadmap will allow us to return to school sometime during term 4.

For those families who are struggling during lockdown, one useful resource I've found is Smiling Mind. Smiling Mind offers a free mindfulness app with programs for adults and youths and a series of kids' care packs with simple, evidence-based activities that support positive mental health for kids aged five to twelve years.

Another thank you to those who filled out our communications survey earlier this year. Your responses helped shape the redesign of our new school website. We're very excited about the new design and plan to launch it early in term 4. As well as being more up-to-date, the new website will be much easier to navigate and offer more opportunities for us to feature photos and information about our school events.

Please take care during the holidays and enjoy the permitted picnics.
