Chaplain's Corner

Hi Everyone,

Well, what a roller coaster of a term!  I know that it has been tough and each of us has a story of our journey.  Many of you may be feeling both physically and mentally exhausted and may not realise how much this term has taken out of you until you have time to ‘breathe’ and reflect.  Others may have been able to grasp some of the opportunities of family growth and of resilience.

Please take time to share amongst your family what you are grateful for and the kindnesses you have been shown and have given, for it is in finding and acknowledging these gems that give us resilience, HOPE, and helps us to move forward, binding us together as we continue on life’s journey.

Hopefully there will be ‘new’ freedoms to enjoy the great outdoors over the school break.  Time away from those iPad and computer screens will do wonders for both your physical and mental health.  There are many parks and nature walks plus bike trails within 10 km of Warrandyte – how very fortunate.  It is a scientific fact that being out                                                                          in nature does wonders for our mental  health.

So, it is with a heart of gratitude for being part of your community, for health and strength, that I wish you all a relaxing, safe and refreshing school holiday break!

TAKE CARE!
