Principal's Report

Welcome to our new students who will be displaying our new uniform items!
Welcome to our new students who will be displaying our new uniform items!

As Term 3 draws to a close I'd like to thank everyone for their ongoing efforts with remote and onsite learning. I'm sure none of us would have predicted the extent of the lockdowns during this term and at this stage we're unsure of what Term 4 will look like. Please rest assured we will keep you updated as information is received.

During this term we aimed to enhance our remote learning program by introducing live learning and remote incursions. We also included some fun days for the students too. Thank you for all the feedback we have received along the way. I would like to take the opportunity to thank our teachers, students and you for your ongoing support of our children's learning.

Remote learning has certainly been a new experience for us all. Running a school from a computer has presented its challenges and my apologies if I've potentially missed an email or two along the way.

Throughout the term, I'm sure we have all experienced highs and lows and that there were some days remote learning was all too much. The feedback we have received has overall been very positive. For some of you there has been too much learning and for others not enough. All we ask is that the students give their personal best to their learning.

As I begin my five weeks Long Service Leave next term, Jake Laurie will be the Acting Principal. Meredith Thornton will back fill Jake on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in a Student Wellbeing role. The PE program will be run on Mondays and Fridays.

I wish you all a safe and happy holiday and a well-deserved break from remote learning.

My fingers and toes are crossed that all our students are back onsite soon.

Kindest regards

Sue Dyos
