Term 4 focus

We are so close to welcoming all our children back onsite- we can’t wait to see you!!!

After missing time at kindergarten our focus will be on creating a supportive environment for all of the children and helping them to reconnect with their peers, to build on their social skills and to re-establish and expand on their friendships. The focus for our 4 year old groups will also be helping the children with preparing for the transition to school. We have also booked in some special events- the Drama Toolbox will be doing an online incursion and Little Woodworkers is booked for the end of the term. Both promise to be fun learning experiences.

With our focus on spending more time outdoors due to the current climate, the children that have been onsite have enjoyed us bringing lots of indoor activities outside. They have particularly enjoyed hunting for bugs, watching the bees on the lavender and learning about bees from a video clip, painting, making kites and exploring concepts such as speed as well as colouring and playing with manipulative play material- great for building fine motor dexterity and, of course lots of social play including with our new water play channel purchased earlier this year. 

We have ordered some more outdoor play items- including a trampoline, some new spades, a rocker bowl, along with more art supplies ready for when all the children return! Please remember to pack a hat in your child’s bag for their return so that they are ready to enjoy lots of outdoor play.
