Deputy Principal's Update

Learning is more effective when it is an active rather than a passive process. .."

Dear Parents,

A huge thank you for all of the hard work you have done over the past fortnight in managing the many twists and turns that COVID is presenting for all of us.  At the centre of all that we do are the most important people of all - your children.  We are so happy that we are all back at school tomorrow.

Once again our tremendous staff have worked tirelessly to provide the best possible outcome for the students under the most trying of circumstances.  From dropping everything to come in and provide learning packs, work out

online schedules and their constant presence on camera and via email shows how far they will go to keep learning going, and sometimes have a bit of fun too!

We have loaned over 150 devices for remote learning and also managed to supervise around 40 students per day onsite for those parents who were able to keep working.  A big well done to our whole staff-we are certainly flexible!

We are very excited to have you all back at school, we have a lot to do over the next fortnight as we head to the end of term!

I have managed to drop in and see lots of classes and small groups online over the past couple of weeks.  I have seen pets, home made indoor cubbies, creative backgrounds and lots of interesting home study spaces!

Well done to everyone, let us hope and pray that our remote learning time is done for 2021.  If not, we know that we will be flexible, adaptable and continue to learn in lots of different and unusual ways!
