Industry Talk 

Students were recently inspired by Greg Walker from Mavin's Truck Centre who employ people across multiple industry sectors. Their award-winning Service Department offers employment to factory-trained technicians, the Spare Parts department has sales opportunities in the heavy on-highway truck market and the office offers the more traditional office business administration roles.

Greg spoke about the opportunities that exist in the Kempsey and Coffs Harbour areas and the skills and personal qualities they are seeking in their workplace. Sam Palise, Senior Project Officer – Regional Industry Education Partnerships, and Adam Worthy from Mid Coast Connect participated in the group discussion and organisation of the industry talk.
