AECG Dunghutti Language and Culture Camp

Yawayi (Hello),

7 students had the opportunity to attend the inaugural Dunghutti Language and Culture camp with others schools from across the region, hosted by Uncle Fred, Aunty Vicki and other Elders.

Students participated in workshops centered on the Dunghutti language. They looked at artefacts, used traditional methods to make string, jewellery and fire. They painted, tracked their family trees and had a yarn around the fire with the elders.

Our students proudly represented Kempsey High, showing patience, tolerance and respect to all.
