INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE

Senior Pathway – The IB Diploma Programme

Year 10 students are in the process of considering their pathway for senior study. As an IB World School, The Riverina Anglican College is proud to offer the IB Diploma Programme as an excellent option for those students looking to best prepare themselves for university.

So, what is the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)?

The IBDP is designed as an academically challenging and balanced programme of education that prepares students for success at university and life beyond. The programme is taught over two years and has gained recognition and respect from the world's leading universities.

Approaches to teaching and learning in the IBDP are deliberate strategies that focus on what students learn and how they learn. As a result, IBDP students develop as young men and women who:

  • have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge
  • flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically
  • think critically and consider perspectives
  • value service and aim to become active citizens in a global society.

More information on the IBDP and subjects offered is available here.

We will also be hosting an Information Evening for parents and students in Week 7.

Students and parents are invited to book a time to individually discuss the suitability of the IBDP and make informed subject selection decisions over the coming weeks.
