NSW All Schools AFL

CCC

Kildare had 7 players selected as part of the CCC Team who attended the NSW All Schools AFL Carnival held in Blacktown last week.

Ned Mazzocchi, Sam Emery, Darcy Mackay, Charlie Douglas, Thomas Sase, Patrick Voss and Jackson Nejman all played important roles for CCC South as they progressed through to the Final.

NSW All Schools Carnival Coaches Report

This year’s championships were held in Blacktown from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 June. The venues were in excellent condition and the weather was good despite the slippery conditions caused by overnight rainfall. This gave all boys the opportunity to show their skills and talents against quality opposition. The results of the games were as follows.

The boys successfully moved through the first game and then had some tough wins in the next three games where we came from behind to eventually progress to the Grand Final. We entered the Grand Final against an undefeated CIS full of confidence. CIS dominated early proceedings in the final and CCC South never recovered. They completely dominated the final which was a disappointing climax to the carnival, but the boys performed admirably to be 2018 runners up. Five boys were selected in the NSW All Schools team to play at the National Carnival in Adelaide,  from Saturday 21 July to Saturday 28 July.

Congratulations to Kildare students Patrick Voss and Thomas Sase.

Both were selected in the NSW All Schools Team to attend the National Carnival in Adelaide later this year. Both boys also collected some individual honours from the carnival.

Thomas Sase - CCC South Best Player

Congratulations to all seven Kildare students on a great carnival. Well done.
