Year 7 RE visit

Mount Erin Heritage Centre

Pictured above is Sister Barbara Webber holding a 140 year old student exercise book accompanied by Kildare Catholic College 7.3 RE; the first class of students to visit the Heritage Centre.

The day we visited the Heritage Centre, May 31, was the Feast Day of the Visitation of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth. Sister Barbara welcomed us with a warm smile and she impressed us with her knowledge of many of our families. (She has taught several generations of Wagga students.)

When we entered the Heritage Centre, we were amazed to see all the history of Catholic Education in Wagga. We saw mannequins displaying past uniforms, a room displaying the old Boarding House life, a century-old harp waiting for restoration. The walls had a timeline and pictures of the Founding Sisters. There was so much more to see, we recommend you go and visit yourself soon. We were really glad to be the first visiting class and we all happily signed the visitors book!
