HPV/ATHLETICS DAY

HPV

On April 29th our schools HPV Team, MERT, headed over to Knox with the 2 senior teams. Before we even left we knew it was going to a tough day. The description had been something along the lines of 'tight corners and tough hills'. It was an exciting day and from the second we got there it was 'go, go, go'. The weather started off well but it didn’t take very long for it to start raining. When the roads were wet crashes became more frequent and most people ended up spinning out or rolling the vehicles. Thankfully it cleared up and we only had a few more crashes throughout the rest of the day. It was an awesome day and we all had a great time with both the teams bringing home series points and Dinky Dots bringing home runner up in the all female category.

ATHLETICS DAY

2018 athletics day was the first ever athletics day held at Mount Eliza Secondary College since we have been at school. We were lucky that there was no rain. Everyone had very high spirits with friends cheering each other on with such great sportsmanship. It was a unique day with food trucks joining us on the oval such as a paella truck, smoothie van and an ice cream truck. We also had the great support from our very own HPV club that supplied us with a sausage sizzle.

Overall it was a great day with lots of participation from all over the school. Whether it was in a track event, field event or just a fun event. Watching the sack races, three legged races and the egg and spoon relays was a hilarious part of the day.

After competing in an event, we were able to challenge a friend on a giant inflatable obstacle course, watching seniors trying to go through tiny tunnels was extremely amusing.

Congratulations to everyone who competed in an event, for all of your participation contributed to the points given to your house. Overall it was Kimmuli who took the winning title for the day.

A special thanks to everyone who contributed to making this day such a great day.
