PFA Annual General Meeting

We had fantastic attendance with 26 parents at our Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday, May 3 2017. Those who attended include our principal Roger Page, assistant principal Keith Butler, School Council President Bridgett Wong and newly elected School Council Member Yin Taw Fung.

We applaud our existing committee members and PFA president, Nellie Fung for being elected again this year. Keep up the good work!  New committee members were appointed for year 2017/2018. Congratulations to Rosanna Alam, Usha Krishnan and Yvonne Chan!!

Current issues and fundraising activities were discussed during the AGM; such as sales generated from the second hand uniform shop, Nossal Alumni pavers and the Entertainment Books. Members were updated on how well the PFA fundraising activities have contributed to the school community. The funds have expended on great projects, including sponsorship and donations of school equipment like the football goal posts and bicycle shed. The PFA has also decided to sponsor the Five Minds Awards to deserving students.

Jazz Night

We had the privilege to assist with hosting the sensational Jazz Night on the May 11. The turnout was great.  Those who attended got to enjoy live jazz music performed by our very own students.

Thank you to all the PFA members who helped to collect gold coin donations, arrange the raffle and serve coffee, tea and biscuits to parents, students and friends of Nossal. It is lovely to see the growing number of parents joining PFA and contributing their time and effort in making events such as this to happen.

We look forward to continuing support from Nossal's parents and friends for the coming events.

Please feel free to join us anytime you are available.  PFA Meetings are held at 7:00pm in the Jean Russell Centre on the first Wednesday of the month during school terms.

Cooking up a storm!

Congratulations and thank you to the hard working and dedicated team of PFA volunteers who ran our first Bunnings Sausage Sizzle at Narre Warren over the weekend.  

It was a wonderful day with lots of "DIY'ers" stopping to purchase a barbecued  sausage on their way in and out of Bunnings.  Thank you to Larry for his organisation, Phil for the mobile cooler, Trudi for her expertise and everyone who, eagerly joined the roster to make it such a successful day for the PFA.  It was a great team effort that netted $2,310.40 profit; a fantastic achievement!
