Peer Literacy training

Year 10 students recently attended their final Peer Literacy tutoring session at Miller TAFE. Tutors were officially enrolled into TAFE NSW and were issued with their ID cards and login details. The final theory session revolved around why some students require additional assistance in developing reading skills and strategies on how to create a positive learning enviornment. To date, Year 10 tutors have been able to use the knowledge acquired from these theory sessions in a practical sense during roll call.

Our  TAFE teacher, Jerry, once again provided an interesting introduction to an adult learning environment with a tour of the campus and the facilities on offer. The highlight of the day would have to be the canteen and the table tennis showdown during lunch.

Year 10 tutors will be receiving their TAFE certificates and transcripts next term. Well done Year 10 and continue to work hard during roll call.
