DeakInspire - inspire, motivate and engage

DeakInspire is an event specially designed to inspire, motivate and engage students in Years 10, 11 and 12. It provides you with a head-start on your study and personal career goals. On the day, you will get the opportunity to:

  • Hear innovative, entrepreneurial and inspirational stories that will inspire you to overcome challenges and take advantage of opportunities – to create your own future.
  • Take your future into your own hands by choosing from more than 30 workshops covering a range of study areas.

Most workshops involve a hands-on approach and interaction with current Deakin students or staff so you will get an idea of what uni life is like or what your future career options might be. These workshops will be taking place in the Term 2 holidays:

  • Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus: Tuesday 2 July 2019, 9am – 3pm.
  • Melbourne Burwood Campus: Thursday 4 July 2019, 9am – 3pm.

DeakInspire is a FREE event. Lunch and entertainment will be provided. Registration for DeakInspire is essential. For more info & to register go to:

 SAE Study For A Day

SAE Melbourne Campus is opening its doors for SAE Study For A Day on Saturday 15 June, between 9am – 4pm. This one day program will expand your skills by giving you the opportunity to work on inspiring creative projects in the fields of Animation, Audio, Design, Film or Games. Across the fun workshops, SAE Study For A Day attendees will work towards building a creative piece of work to take away for use in a portfolio or showreel. Attendees will receive a certificate of participation to acknowledge the creative work they have undertaken. Due to the tertiary level of the workshop content, this event is open to anyone aged 15yrs and above (Year 10 and over). Spaces for this event are extremely limited & cost $25.
