Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program
Volunteering in our garden
Here at Monty South we have an amazing kitchen garden where our students in years 3-6 learn to plant, tend for and harvest a range of edible plants. Each fortnight students have one class of garden and one class of kitchen.
Recipes, as much as possible, use seasonal produce from our school garden. Our garden teacher, Farmer Mike is always after helpers in the garden. He would greatly appreciate volunteers if you or a family member are able to help. Just like our kitchen program, we welcome parents/carers, friends and grandparents. You can email him on michael.tindale@education.vic.gov.au for more information.
