POSITIVE PARTNERSHIPS

MS SALLY OP'T HOOG - TEACHING & LEARNING LEADER: LEARNING DIVERSITY

Positive Partnerships is a government funded organisation that works together with parents and educators of school aged children with Autism to provide current, relevant and evidence informed information through workshops and online resources.

Our school has decided to participate in a two day workshop this year (April 24th and June 14th) to empower staff to best facilitate learning for all diverse learners. These will be pupil free days.

An action team has been formed with the members being; Nathan Lane (Deputy Principal of Teaching and Learning), Courtney Bell (House Leader), Sally Op’t Hoog (Learning Diversity Leader), Tanya Farrell (LSO), Kylie Andrews (LSO), Monique Watt (teacher) and Emma Doherty (teacher). This group set a vision for our school and will look at implementing programs and changes in our school to support all students.

The vision created for our school is:

To continue to create a culture of inclusivity and support for all learners. Opportunities and actions are provided for success, growth and equity for all students. This is achieved through education and partnership of families, staff and students.
