Last week in Grade One Two we learnt two new words: Phoneme and Grapheme!
Ask your clever Grade 1/2 students at home what they mean.
We also learnt graphemes for the long vowels "ee", "ay" and "igh". Check us out in the photos below, practising words and sentences with these sounds in them.

GEM Hero's
We have been focusing on how we can be GEM Hero's. GEM stands for Gratitude, Empthy & Mindfulness. in 1/2B we made some hearts listing the different things we are grateful for, and we love our 5 minutes mindful sessions after lunch.
