Grade 5 and 6

Starting the Year

It has been a delight to see the the Grade 5 and 6 students embrace the challenges of this new year. Student's have been learning with rigour and purpose as they strive for their personal best across the curriculum.

Connecting our Community

To bring our Grade 5 and 6 community together, students have been engaging in a range of team building activities within CBL through our Big Idea of 'Connections'.  This has helped to foster relationships with their peers and to build on our community culture.

Sport

Interschool/Intraschool sport has commenced! It has been so much fun to see the students play their sport, with many students trying out a sport for the first time. They have shown fair play and an encouraging spirit towards their team mates and their opponents. Go WPPS 🎉!

GRADE 5 NEWS

Naplan

NAPLAN is coming up on Wednesday 15th - Friday 17th. Our Grade 5 students have been preparing for these upcoming assessments. They have been focusing on how to approach to multiple choice questions as well as being provided with the opportunity to use the demonstration site. This has given them experience with various question types and the way they will need to respond (eg. using their iPad to type their written responses). If you would like to see what these will be like for your child, please go to:

Please make sure your child has a set of headphones at school for these assessments next week.
