State Schools Relief

State Schools’ Relief is a not-for-profit organisation who works closely with all government schools across Victoria to improve the lives of  Victorian students, and their families, each year. Their simple and practical service ensures that all students can attend school in warmth and comfort with a greater sense of belonging and improved self-esteem, which in turn enhances educational engagement. Support provided includes items such as school clothing, shoes and other essential items Please do not hestiate to contact me should you require support from State School's Relief.

Dogs in the School Grounds

Whilst we understands that many families in our school community keep dogs as pets, to ensure that our school remains a safe and inclusive place for everyone, pet dogs are not permitted on school grounds during school hours unless a prior arrangement has been made with the principal. Our school community is diverse and includes people that are allergic or uncomfortable around dogs. We ask that families please leave their pet dogs at home or safely tethered outside school grounds when attending our school/school events. You can read our policy regarding Dog in the School Grounds in full by clicking on this link.

Child Safety Standards

Volunteers

We are mandated (without exemption) to provide training for all volunteers working in our school. It's a requirement that our staff and volunteers are equipped with knowledge, skills and awareness to keep young people safe through ongoing education and training. Training is required to be updated annually.

From 2023 all volunteers working in all school will need to have completed the training prior to working with students at our school. Upcoming sessions for anyone looking to volunteer at our school are listed below;

- Tuesday 21st March 5.00-5.30pm - online - please contact me by email for the link if you plan to attend this session

- Friday 24th March 9.00-9.30am - staffroom - no need to enrol in this session, just turn up. If you would like to attend this session virtually, please contact me for a link

Student Mobile Phones

Students who bring mobile phones to school must leave them to the general office for storage during the school day, phones are not to be stored in schoolbags in the classroom. Mobile phones can be collected from the office at the end of the day. You can access the school's mobile phone policy by clicking on the link in the title of the paragraph.
