CHATHAM CHALLENGES

Coming up Term 1, 2023. .

In this important new science unit students will learn and use Scientific Data and CRITICAL THINKING to explain and evaluate what is happening when various products are tested. Chemicals are everywhere; some are natural and safe whilst others are synthetic and not so safe. Are organic chemicals safe? Is anti-wrinkle cream a gimmick? Are plastics safe? The pH scale, What are the differences between acids and bases? Persistence with tasks, meeting deadlines, asking questions to gain a better and deeper understanding, and working in a collaborative manner with their fellow classmates will help girls and boys to develop open-mindedness to the world around them and build their scientific skills.

Application for 1st Term, 2023

This program is available for all Grade 1 - Grade 6 children who have qualified for Chatham Challenges.

The unit for first term commences week beginning Monday, 13th February 2023.

The unit will run for 8 weeks commencing: Monday, 13th Feb, 20th Feb, 27th Feb, 6th Mar, 13th Mar,

20th Mar, 27th Mar and 3rd April.
