Wynspeak Competition

Congratulations to our VUSC students

who made us proud demonstrating their Public Speaking skills!

The Wynspeak competition in 2022 consists of eight preliminary rounds at venues in Wyndham, Hobsons Bay and Caroline Springs with the Final at Thomas Carr Catholic Regional College Performing Art Centre on June 1st.

VUSC were allocated Round 3 and Round 5.

Aayan AIZAZ of Year 8 competed in Round 3. Aayan prepared a speech with little notice and travelled to Altona Civic Centre with his family to deliver it! It was an excellent speech and a fantastic experience for him. Well done Aayan!

The students who competed in Round 5 were:

David Tamiakis Year 11

Bibi Asma Year 10

Shukurani Zuberi Year 10

Paige Albury Year 9

Seychelles Camomot Year 8

SEYCHELLES CAMOMOT of YEAR 8 was the winner of the junior division, and she will be progressing to the final round on June 1. Details of the evening will be sent to families through Compass soon. CONGRATULATIONS Seychelles!

Seychelles and the other students competed with various Public, Catholic and Independent Colleges AND WERE ALL JUST OUTSTANDING!!

Bibi won an award for the best impromptu speech - a 2 minute speech that she had to make up and deliver on the spot. She won’t be progressing to the finals unfortunately, but it was great to see her win this! Her 5 minute speech was also brilliant! Well done Bibi!

ALL of our kids have been inspirational, and a big thanks to all of the families supporting their children to be the best they can be.
