Performing Arts

A huge congratulations to Raghav Chauhan who recently achieved his BLACK BELT is his recorder levels.

In Performing Arts at GRPS, students in grades 1 to 6 learn the recorder through the ‘Black Belt Recorder Book’ series. There are 3 books in this series with a total of 9 levels or ‘belts’. Black belt is the highest level of achievement in this program and takes students many years of dedicated study and practice to attain.

Raghav diligently continued with his recorder practice throughout two years of lockdowns and home learning. He took charge of his own learning, regularly filming himself playing his recorder and uploading it to Google Classroom for comments and feedback. Raghav is a superstar learner and we are very proud of his most recent achievement. Well done Raghav!
