Gospel - Luke 24: 46–53

'Jesus commissions the eleven and ascends to heaven'

This Sunday the gospel celebrates Jesus’ ascension to heaven. Christ, who ascended into heaven in his body, carries on what he began on earth through his new body, the community of believers. He teaches through its apostles and evangelists. He ministers through its prophets and pastors. We have not been left alone; we have his power, the same power with which he performed marvels when he walked the earth. We have not been left alone; we have each other. Together we make up the new body of Christ.

First Eucharist Dates

A reminder for all families who would like their child to receive the Sacrament of First Eucharist to bring the enrolment forms back next week.

Please note the dates for the First Eucharist. All of these events will be held at St Christopher's school and church:

First Eucharist Presentation of Candidates - Sunday 5th June 10:30am

First Eucharist Family Evening - Thursday 9th June 7:30pm

First Eucharist Reflection Day - Friday 17th June 9-3:30pm

First Eucharist – Sunday 19th June 2pm
